We are currently taking on new patients.
These fact sheets have been written to explain the role of UK health services, the National Health Service (NHS), to newly-arrived individuals seeking asylum. They cover issues such as the role of GPs, their function as gatekeepers to the health services, how to register and how to access emergency services.

From 1 April 2015, the practice is required under the terms of the latest GP contract to allocate all patients a named accountable GP, who is responsible for the overall care of the patient.
If you wish to know the name of your accountable/usual GP, please ask the receptionists when you are next in the surgery. Please note there is no need to telephone the practice for this information.
If you need input from a variety of health professionals then you can discuss this with the named/usual GP if you wish. Alternatively you can discuss this with any other doctor in the practice.
Having a named/usual GP does not prevent you seeing any other doctor in the practice.
Your named/usual GP will not be available at all times, and if your needs are urgent, you may need to discuss them with an alternative doctor.
The SystmOne App is now available to download. This new app means that around 80% of smartphone users in the UK can potentially access the facility to book/cancel their appointments from their phone. Over 2,000 patients downloaded the SystmOnline app for iPhone and iPad within two weeks of its release. A SystmOnline app is also being developed for Windows devices in the coming months. The SystmOnline app for Android is now available to download by searching for ‘SystmOnline’ within Google Play. The app for iPhone and iPad can be found in the App Store
